Obituary of Betty Sue Childress

Betty Sue Childress, 80, went home to be with her Lord, Thursday, January 17, 2019. 

Funeral Services will be held 4:00PM, Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Blaise Baptist Church in Mocksville, North Carolina. The family will receive friends from 2:30PM until time for the service. Interment will be 12:00PM Monday, January 21, 2019 at Joppa Cemetery in Mocksville, North Carolina.

Betty was born February 27, 1938 to the late W.R. Brewer and Annie Brewer Flint. She loved her Lord and was a faithful member at Society Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and the best Nanny to all of her grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lee Childress; brothers Douglas Brewer, Roy Brewer, Joe Brewer, Larry Brewer and sister Fran Brewer Davenport.

Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Rev. David Childress and wife Carmen; Charles Childress and fiancée Katie; six grandchildren Lindsey, Abigail, Ellie, Austin, Bryce, and Henley.
