Shirley, I was just informed by Mike Leamon of Jim‘s passing. So sorry to hear. I admit it’s been several years since I spoke to Jim or you. I always thought a whole lot of Jim, he was a good man. Always enjoyed riding motorcycles with him as he was a very competent and skilled rider. He will be missed. I hope you are doing OK under the circumstances. Ross Ketner

Jim was head instructor of the DCCC Truck Driving Program when I attended in Spring of 2014. He took me on my first ride in a big truck and I could tell he really enjoyed what he was doing. He was always fair, informative, and friendly. It was a pleasure to have him as an instructor there and it saddens me to hear of his passing.

I remember many events that we were involved in socially, and some work related. The fondest was a trip to the Brickyard 400 in Indianapolis that Jim arranged. Really good memories of our younger years.

I am so sad to hear about Jim. He was instrumental in our success at Salem Carriers and we formed a strong friendship even after we both left. He was a class act with a great life story who loved his family. Prayers and peace to you all.

Shirley and family - Sending thoughts and prayers to each of you during this time of sadness. I so enjoyed Jim's frequent trips to Fitz on Main. I'm thinking of his warm smile as I type this message. May you find comfort from faith, family, friends, and all the memories of his life.
