Obituary of Lois Longaker Frutchey Brendle

Lois Longaker Frutchey Brendle, 79, passed away Saturday July 14, 2018 after an extended battle with Alzheimer’s.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend George Freeman and Reverend Phil Bauguess officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Winston-Salem. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

Lois was born on December 23, 1938 in Lynn, Iowa. She was the daughter of the late George Willard Longaker and Leora Spurrier Longaker. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family and trips to the beach. She was a member of Sedge Garden United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Leslie Brendle; daughters, Claudia Zarate and Christine Young; son, Willard Brendle and wife Karen; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the nurses, caretakers, staff of Oak Forest Health & Rehab, and the staff of Hospice Of The Piedmont.
