Obituary of Vickie Edwards Jones

Vickie Edwards Jones, 71, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Kernersville Medical Center in Kernersville, NC. She now has a new, heavenly body, free from the pain of Multiple Sclerosis, which she fought in her later years of life.

A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Vickie’s life on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at 2:00PM at her church, Main Street United Methodist Church in Kernersville, NC. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Vickie was married in 1963 to James A. Jones and they had 3 sons.

Vickie was preceded in death by her father, Wilson Franklin “Curly” Edwards, and an infant daughter, Jennifer.

Left to cherish her memory are her 3 sons, Jim (Susan) Jones, Joey Jones, Jonathan (Crystal) Jones, and 2 grandchildren whom she adored, Tamara and Jayden. Also surviving are her mother, Edna Edwards, a sister, Frankie (Dennis) Weavil, her nephew, Jeff (Allison) Weavil, niece Julie (Mike) Walters and their children. Although divorced for several years, Vickie remained close to those in James' family and we know they will cherish her memory as well.
