Obituary of Ofelia Guadalupe Paredes

Ofelia “Faye” Paredes, 21, passed away October 19, 2018.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held 2:00PM Friday, October 26, 2018 at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Service Chapel.

The family will receive friends Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 6:00PM until 8:00OPM at the funeral home.

Faye was born July 4, 1997 to Stephanie and Orlando Paredes in Durham, NC. She graduated from Southwest Guilford High School in 2015. After high school Faye was a private nanny for a special family, for many years. She also taught preschool at Oak Ridge United Methodist Church.  Faye was known as a phenomenal server who enjoyed interacting with people and always wanted to help. She adored her family and coworkers. Singing and teaching little children were very close to her heart. Faye always had something uplifting to say and was a shining light to many people. 

Those left to cherish her memory include her parents; three brothers, Ricky Smith, Stephan Smith and Orlando Paredes; sister Leah Vanegas; grandmothers Jan Keesee and husband Dana of Brenham, Texas and Lynn Medlin of Roxboro, North Carolina; grandfather Roger Powell and wife Patricia of Roxboro, North Carolina, and a host of extended family and friends.
