Obituary of James Hart Isley

James “Jamie” Hart Isley, 64, died February 9, 2019.

A native of Springfield, Illinois, Jamie was the son of the late Ila Fern Hart and Alan Isley. He graduated from Springfield High School in 1972. The bulk of Jamie’s life he worked as a telecommunications specialist.

His friends will remember his famous mustard marinated Catfish fillets, his jokes and the laughter, and general friendships with all who knew him. He was a published author, and truly loved writing and his passion showed through in his writings, including his works “The Bear Hunter” and “The Romulus Factor”.

Survivors include his son, Cameron Isley of Winston-Salem; brothers, Stan Isley and Lori, and Martin Pitchford; Cameron’s mother, Sharon Isley; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

In keeping with Jamie’s wishes, his ashes will be scattered at his, and his family’s, favorite hunting area in southern Illinois.
