Sorry I didn't get to meet Andy. As a fellow Vietnam Veteran I'm sure we could have had some good times just talking about our experiences. Your neighbor, Gary

Mr. Andy was one of the kindest, gentlest men I have ever known, and I will always remember him. He always had a smile and a kind word for me in church when I was a kid, even if I was up to some mischief. I remember spending time with my friend Alec at his and Mrs. Faye's house - we had some fun times there! I also still have the trunk that he gave to me, and it is now filled with many of my most precious mementos. Mr. Andy will be missed by many people for his generosity, good humor, kindness of spirit, and many more things besides. My deepest love and condolences to Mrs. Faye, and to all of his family.

The world has lost a good man today but he was more than that, he was a husband, father, grandfather, uncle, teacher, warrior, cheerleader, hard worker, jokester and so much more. He was a Man of God and lived a Godly life and tried to lead others by his example. I did not know him really well but he was liked and respected by my parents and they thought the world of him. I know he will be missed at his church and by all the egg makers and especially missed by his family. I know that it is no consolation for those who loved him, but he now rests easy in the loving arms of God, his work on earth done.

To the Family, so sorry for your loss. Hope you will be comforted in knowing that John "Andy" has the prospect of being resurrected, healthy (in the flesh), to Paradise Earth just as Jehovah God has promised. In fact , the vast majority will enjoy everlasting life right here on earth as God had intended from the beginning. God's Kingdom will do this under the rule of Jesus Christ. Faye - So very sorry for your loss. We thought so much of Andy and he was such a sweet sweet man, but I know he is rejoicing in heaven with our Lord Jesus. May God watch over you and your family during this time and place his loving arms around you all giving you peace and comfort. Love you Faye.

You took me in as your daughter, you loved me as such. You took me to see snow for the first time, we almost went over the Blue Ridge Pkwy but you were determined I was going to see snow my first time in NC. You introduced me to onion rings and my life has never been the same since! You always had my back, regardless! You may have called me names, but you always knew who to call when you needed something done, you always knew you could count on me. You loved and supported the boys in every aspect of their lives, especially when it came to sports. You gave them advice and told them stories. You were a great example of what love is all about. Your love for Nana was unmeasurable. But the best gift you ever gave me was your son and for that I will be forever grateful. I will miss you for the rest of my life Paw! Love SpitFire
