Obituary of Mary JoAnn Knight

Mary JoAnn Knight, 76, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Tuesday April 16, 2019 at 4:00PM. JoAnn was born May 6, 1942. She has lived with her sister, Peggy K. McGee and brother-in-law, Ronald F. McGee of Kernersville, NC since 1989.

Funeral Services celebrating her life will be 3:00PM Saturday April 20, 2019 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Chapel with Rev. Roger Pinnix and Rev. Brian Taylor officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Stokesdale, NC.

JoAnn loved life and everyone that came in touch with her. Surviving are her nieces, Judy M. Cockman and husband, Joe of Walkertown, and Hope M. Greer and husband, Jimmy of Kernersville; nephew, Randy F. McGee and wife, Norma of Kernersville; and many nieces and nephews and extended family.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her mother and father, Johnny and Prudie Knight; brothers, J.B. Knight and Joe Knight; sisters, Margie New, Ruth Grubbs, Nancy Knight, and Betty Knight.

The family will visit with friends prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home from 2:00PM to 3:00PM.
