Obituary of Stanley Vernelle Perdue

Stanley Vernelle Perdue, 63, passed away peacefully Sunday June 9, 2019.

Funeral Services to celebrate his life will be held 10:00AM Tuesday June 18, 2019 at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory with Dr. Jerry Gibbons officiating.

He was born May 21, 1956 to James and Lois Perdue in Kernersville. He always held a fondness and strong roots to Kernersville. From North Carolina to Oklahoma, Virginia, East & West Germany, Saudi Arabia, Louisiana, Japan, Colorado, and California his faith and career took him around the globe to serve the many. From establishing a church plant in Germany to serving in the American Red Cross for over three decades that even included deployment alongside our troops during Desert Storm, he served the community wherever called. He retired as the CEO of the Orange County Chapter in Santa Ana, CA.

He is preceded in death by his father, James “Flea” Perdue and his brother Michael Perdue. 

Survivors include his mother Lois Perdue; his partner, David Pierson; children, Ryan Perdue and his wife Kaki Perdue, Justin Perdue and his wife Amy Perdue, and Kristin Perdue; as well as their mother, Brenda Perdue; grandsons, Ryan Peyton Perdue, Grayson James Perdue, Nathaniel Matthew James Perdue; and granddaughter, June Elizabeth Perdue.
