Obituary of Raeford Gleen Kirkman

Raeford Gleen Kirkman, 90, passed away at home July 8, 2019.

A Graveside Service will be held 10:00AM Friday July 12, 2019 at Mt. Gur Cemetery.

A native of High Point, R.G. was the son of the late Martha Genieva Fulp and Ruba R. Kirkman. In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Jo Weavil Kirkman; son, Jeffrey Joe Kirkman; and his brother, Gene Kirkman.

He served with the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a Volkswagen parts manager, and also worked at the Kernersville YMCA for a number of years. R.G. was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Survivors include his sons, Stephen Ray Kirkman and Lisa of Patterson, NY, and Mike Kirkman and Tess of Greensboro; granddaughter, Sara Kirkman; and nephew, Barry Kirkman.
