I not sure how I found this today but I am here, maybe the Holy Spirit. Bob was my best friend while we worked together at the USN Naval Radio Transmitter Facility at Lualualei, HI as active duty USN Electronic Technicians. I am of course saddened to hear of his early departure and can attest to the other positive things stated by others, It appears we still had a lot in common through our life and want to say I am so sorry for your loss. Robert (Bob) Wohleber. Silver Spring, MD (formerly from Pittsburgh)

We were good friends of Bob in Gloucester, Virginia. We were sorry to hear of his passing. He was such a kind person. Bob knew my dad Roland (Snooze) at Cheathem Annex. Our prayers for the family.

RIP Wile E Kayaker! I worked with Bob up until 2005 when they "retired" me. We went to lunch together almost every day. One of our sayings was how can they expect us to go eat, go to Lowes, Tractor Supply and Walmart over a 45 minute lunch period!? We just bent the rules ever so slightly! Good times! He had a bright red Chevy Suburban he wanted to sell me; I bought a GMC Yukon instead; also bright red! I made fun of his big red truck and then I bought one almost like it!

It has been 6 years since I last worked with Bob at GD. I was shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. I always enjoyed working with Bob and listening to his views on various subjects and his humorous stories. He was a very good person and I know many people will miss him. I find myself thinking of him these past few days. I hope his wife and family find solace in the knowledge that he was very respected by those who worked with him and he will be greatly missed.

I started working with Bob at GD probably 15 years ago and was working with him the day he passed away. Bob was always easy to work with and very helpful and was known as the expert in what he did. He always had a joke or piece of great advice for every situation. I will always remember him much like the picture shows...with a laugh in his heart and a smile on his face.
We will miss him deeply and his family are in our thoughts and prayers.

My deepest regrets for your loss. I only got to work with Bob a few times, but I got to know him. He was a good man. From then on we always made it a point to say hello to one another and ask each other how we were. He will be missed here at GD. I hope the best for you and your family in these trying times. God bless.
