Obituary of Karin Carpenter

Mrs. Karin Carpenter, 77, of Elon, NC passed away peacefully Wednesday September 4, 2019.

Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 1:00PM Saturday September 7, 2019 at The May-Foley Chapel, Twin Lakes Community, 3801 Wade Coble Dr., Burlington, NC 27215, with Rev. John Shields officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Elon, NC.

A native of Germany, Karin was the wife of the Thomas Franklin “Tom” Carpenter and the daughter of the late, Fritz and Elisabeth Petrak.

Survivors include her daughters, Tonja Walker and husband, Charles of Burlington, NC, and Robyn Crockett and husband, Danny of Fort Chiswell, VA; son, Gary Carpenter and wife, Christi of Crockett, VA; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister, Christel Tschirsich and husband, Manfred of Germany; and Wilfried Petrak and wife, Inge of Germany.

In addition to her husband and parents, Karin was preceded in death by her daughter, Dawn Elisabeth Carpenter.

The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 12:00PM to 12:45PM.
