Obituary of Leslie Brendle

Leslie “Les” H. Brendle, 82, went home to be with the Lord December 11, 2019.

Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 7:00PM Sunday December 15, 2019 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel with Rev. Justin Lowe and Rev. Phil Bauguess officiating. He will be inurned with his beloved wife Lois at a later date.

Les had retired from Lucent Technologies after thirty plus years of service. He truly loved his time spent with his family, especially their fishing trips and fellowship.

A lifelong resident of Forsyth County, Les was the son of the late Rita Ruark Brendle and Henry Shelton Brendle. In addition to his parents and wife, Les was also preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Brendle and Perry Brendle; and sister, Susie Fulk; grandson, Chad; and great-granddaughter, Marciella.

Survivors include his daughters, Claudia Zarate and Christine Young both of Winston-Salem; son, Willard Brendle and Karen of Kernersville; grandchildren, Lee Nelson, Michelle Audit, Robert Oldham and Julie, Clinton Brendle and Amanda, Annabelle “AJ” Brendle, and Robert Newman; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Gabby, Kendall, Bradin, Liam, and Noah; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at the funeral home on Sunday.
