Obituary of Jean Smith

Jean Smith, 89, gained her Angel wings December 24, 2019.

Funeral Services to celebrate her life will be held 7:00PM Monday December 30, 2019 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel with Pastor Jerry Manuel officiating. The family will visit with friends from 5:30PM Monday until time for the service, and also immediately following the service at the funeral home.

A native of Farmington, Connecticut, Jean was the daughter of the late Ruth Odessa Dean and Charles Lester McLaughlin.  She was married to James Clinton Smith for sixty-four years.

Jean was a member of Riverside Baptist Church in Sandy Ridge. She was a private duty Nurse for many years, but truly enjoyed her family and the good times they all enjoyed.

In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her son, Todd Andrew Smith, and her brother, Dean McLaughlin.

Survivors include her loving husband, Jim Smith of the home; daughters, Lisajean Grimaldi and Anthony of Connecticut, and Jennifer Turner and Guy of Danbury; son, Craig “Smitty” Smith and Denise of Kernersville; grandchildren, Zak Yabrosky, Tory Vibert, Craig Vibert and Taryn, Jessica Smith Llanos and James, and Ryan Smith; great-grandchildren, Austin Llanos, and Aliyah Llanos; and numerous extended family and friends.
