Obituary of George Louis Fields, Jr

George Louis Fields, Jr., 81, of Sophia, NC died Wednesday, January 1, 2020.   

A native of Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania, George was the son of the late George Louis Fields, Sr. and Sarah Mayhle Fields. In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill Fields and Cecil Fields.  A lifelong Beagler & sports fanatic, he always enjoyed a good day in the woods with his dogs and a quiet evening surrounded by his family.  George was a loving husband, devoted father and doting grandfather. 

George is survived by his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Gail Urban Fields;  daughter, Lisa Fields; son, Gregg Fields  (Twing); grandchildren, Connor Fields, George Louis Fields, III and Rachel Fields; and  numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.     

The family will hold a private memorial service.
