Obituary of Frances Brand Poe Bond

Frances Brand Poe Bond, 91, went home to be with her Lord January 8, 2020.

Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 12:00PM Noon Tuesday January 14, 2020 at Walker Chapel Baptist Church with Brother Rick Thacker and Brother Dan Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens in Bessemer, Alabama. The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until time for the service at the church on Tuesday.

A native of Monroe, Georgia, Frances was the daughter of the late Pansy Leona Gordon and Homer Lamar Brand. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Clayton Poe; second husband, Charles Robert Bond, Jr.; son, Robert David Poe; and sisters, Eleanor Smith and Julia Ross.

She was a member of Walker Chapel Baptist Church, but had been a member of Adams Run Baptist Church for many years prior to moving to Alabama. She always enjoyed her trips to reunite with her family, and most of the time it was at a beach.

Survivors include her daughter, Judith Osborne and Duffy of Walkertown, NC; sons, Greg Poe and Jean of Fultondale, AL, and Ronnie Poe and Pat of Gardendale, AL; grandchildren, Andrea Beverly and Philip, Emily Cheek and Jason, Charlie Yates and Natalie, and Jenny Yates and Leanna; great-grandchildren, Preston, Camilla, Lucas, Joshua, Nikolai, Kerri, and Amelia; sister, Janice Thomas; brother, Gordon Brand; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
