Obituary of Jimmy David Brafford, Jr.

Jimmy David Brafford, Jr., 46, went home to be with his Lord October 21, 2020.

A time of “walk through” visiting will be held for family and friends from 2:00PM until 6:00PM Saturday October 24, 2020 at North Point Church, 5225 High Point Road, High Point, NC. Graveside Funeral Services to celebrate his life, officiated by Rev. Darrell Green, will be held at 3:00PM Sunday October 25, 2020 at Mt. Gur Cemetery in Kernersville.

A native of Millington, Tennessee, Jimmy was the son of Paula and Jimmy Brafford who survive. Jimmy was a 1992 graduate from Glenn High School, where he was a member of the Baseball 4-A State Champions. He was a graduate of Emmanuel College with a Bachelors Degree in General Christian Ministries. He later graduated from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro with a Masters Degree in Education and a Bachelors Degree in History.

He served his country with the United States Army for four years. He, along with his lifelong friend Ryan Jacobs, owned Jacobs & Brafford Realtors in Kernersville. Jimmy was a member of Kernersville Masonic Lodge 669 and was a Shriner.

Jimmy was full of life and always willing to help regardless of the need for anyone who asked, or needed assistance.

Survivors include his loving wife, Stacey Brafford of the home; daughter, Hope Brafford; parents, Paula and Jimmy Brafford of Kernersville; mother-in-law, Gail Underwood of Kernersville; sister, Leigh Anne Markle and John of Kernersville; brother, Joey Brafford and Rachel of Kernersville; brother-in-law, Jon Underwood and Alana; and a host of extended family and friends.
