Obituary of Christian Merchant Breeding

With deepest sorrow, we announce that Christian Merchant Breeding (Chris), age 30, our most beloved son, brother, and friend passed suddenly on Sunday, December 6th, 2020 while at his home. He is survived by his father and mother, Charlie and Geri Breeding; his three siblings, Michelle Hood (Harrison), Jeremy Breeding (Olivia), and Sarah Breeding; and his grandmother, Anita Breeding.

Chris was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Garnett Breeding; and his maternal grandparents, Orr and Eleanor Tranmer.

Chris always had a smile on his face, an outgoing and gregarious personality; he loved to be around people and to live each day to its fullest.

Chris lived most of his life in Belews Creek, NC. He was an avid wakeboarder and naturally excelled at every water sport that he tried. Chris spent his summers teaching wakeboarding lessons and spending time with friends on Belews Lake. Being on the water is where Chris loved to spend his time.

Chris was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys with his father, Charlie. He wrestled in high school and received All State two years in a row. Chris was athletically gifted and had incredible perseverance and determination when he put his mind to something.

Chris had so much goodness, so much capacity to bring happiness to others and such a bright future. The world is a lesser place without him.

A prayer service will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 616 S. Cherry St, Kernersville, NC on Friday, December 11, 2020 from 6:00PM to 7:00PM with time for family and friends to remember Chris and share their memories from 7:00PM to 8:30PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church on December 12, 2020 at 1:00PM. Interment will follow at the cemetery at Holy Cross with a reception immediately afterward at Holy Cross’s Pavilion.
