To the family, I am sorry for the grief that you are feeling.
Knowing of God's enduring love for you, continue to look to him when he "will wipe out all tears from our eyes, death, suffering, and pain will be no more " Revelation 21:3,4
He says death is an " enemy that will be brought to nothing ". 1 Corinthians 15:26
How comforting to know that this will be a thing of the past and through Christ Jesus a resurrection for our loved ones.

I was so sorry to learn of Dennis' passing. I've worked with State Farm for many years, but I only got to know Dennis better when I moved to Mount Airy 10 years ago. He was such a kind person, always happy to see me and every time I ever saw him, he was always very interested in me. He never thought of himself. The entire State Farm family will miss Dennis very much. Please accept my sincere thought that as time passes, I hope any grief you now have will be replaced with all of the joyful memories Dennis created. He has left a true legacy.

Kathy and family,
I had the privilege of knowing Dennis for only two years through our participation in the infamous “Boy’s Book Club.” As a newcomer to that group of runners and riders, I could see their affection and esteem for Dennis. I found him welcoming and always fun to be with. Riding at the lake was another common interest of ours. We also had a mutual friend in Charlie Ganim. My wife, Sandee and I regret that we will be unable to join the Salem Lake gathering on June 16, a perfect way to remember Dennis. We extend our heartfelt condolences to you all in the loss of such a fine husband and father.
With sympathy,
Mike and Sandee Lawless

Kathy and family,
Dennis served with his heart. We always knew all would be well with Dennis' help. He was an active part of the Kernersville Chamber for decades and will be missed. His bright smile at the Annual Golf Tournament, where he prided himself in making sure all of the drink carts were full, is something we will never forget. The Dennis McNeil Filling Station will be a place for us all for fond memories.
His work with the Governmental Affairs Committee allowed us to move forward when our community needed more. Lunch with Leaders was started with his continued forward thinking. What a success and impactful program this is.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful husband and dad with the Chamber and Community. He will be missed but never forgotten.

I knew Dennis in passing ... he passed me at Salem Lake ... he passed me at New River Trail ... he passed me at Virginia Creeper ... he passed me on any ski trail!!! Always with a smile. He was a lot of fun and I enjoyed his company. --- The next time I get passed on a trail, I'll think of Dennis and be missing him.

Dennis saw the best in everyone. He was a great boss to work for. Took a chance on a little ol preschool teacher like me and I worked as an agent team member for 4 years under him. Family first was always his stance. He kept us in stiches as we returned the favor with laughs for him. He often called us his squirrels as we could get distracted easily. I loved talking Chapel Hill with him and remember the joy we both shared when Coach Davis was announced. He never believed any of my old wives tales but it didn't stop me from sharing them every chance I got. RIP Dennis. You will be missed by many. I will keep up your business you built with the best customer I can in your memory.

Dennis and I were close friends back in our days at UNC, and spent many hours playing basketball, tennis, going to football games, basketball games and enjoying our fair share of adult beverages on Franklin Street. Although our paths rarely crossed post-graduation, I will always consider him on the Mount Rushmore of genuinely memorable people in my life. It's no surprise he spent his life enriching those who were fortunate enough to know him. Rest in peace, my old friend.

I am so saddened to learn of Dennis passing. I had the privilege of working part time for him years ago. He had a sweet spirit and loved his family. This old world has lost a bright light, but heaven is a lot brighter. Fly high Dennis, see you on the other side.

Dennis coached my soccer team when I was in Kintergarten through Third grade. He was my very first in a long line of amazing coaches that I learned from as a young man. I have fond memories of those seasons. Later in life, Dennis was my insurance agent, a supporter of the work I did with the Y, and a friend. His impact on my life was immense, spanning nearly 30 years. I will miss Dennis and always be grateful for his example and leadership.

I am very sorry to hear about Dennis passing. Families go in different directions, I think about my cousins often. He was such a cutup as a kid and teenager. He had such a great sense of humor. I am sorry for your loss.

Surreal to me, a year ago Dennis and Kathy were helping me celebrate my 60th birthday and unfortunately it was right after that that Dennis got sick. A truly good guy who I enjoyed runs, bike rides and beers with. Lots of great memories. Great dad, husband and friend.
