Obituary of Irene Idol Stack

Irene Idol Stack, 95, of Colfax, NC passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 6, 2022.

A native of Colfax, NC, Irene was the wife of the late C. Wayne Stack and the daughter of Clyde G. Idol, Sr. and Rachel Anderson Idol, both deceased.

Survivors include her sons, Garland Stack, David Stack and wife, Lynnette, and Danny Stack and wife, Debra; grandchildren, Nicole Boren (Richard), Jenna Stack (Allie), Holly Dickens (Josh), Monica Garner (Trevor), Manda Gunter (Shawn), and Ryan Stack (Stacy); great grandchildren, Braylon, Noah, Ashby, Briar, Willo, Zak, Weston, and Haleigh; sister, Virginia Idol Nuckles; brother, Bruce Idol and wife, Anita; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Irene was preceded in death by her brothers, Clyde Idol, Jr., William Idol, and Daniel Idol; and sister, Lois Idol Hedgecock.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held 11:00AM Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Phil Kirkman officiating. Interment will follow at the Shady Grove Wesleyan Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:00AM to 11:00AM Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
