Obituary of Johnny Eudy

On Saturday, May 13th, 2023, Johnny “Eddie” Eudy went home to be with the Lord peacefully surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Columbus, Mississippi, then later moved to Kernersville, where he lived the remainder of his life. He was the middle child of Jo Ann and Harold Eugene Eudy, both deceased. He is survived by his daughters, Hannah and Taylor Eudy; his grandson, Bennett Barricks; his brothers, Gene and Donald Eudy; his nephews, Zack and Scotty Eudy; his niece, Sid Eudy; as well as many other extended friends and family members. Eddie was an alumni of Western Guilford High School, Class of 1985. where he was an all-star baseball and football player. He was a hard worker for his whole life and enjoyed giving his best every day to whatever job he had. He considered his work family to be his own. Eddie’s greatest joy came from the job of being a father to Hannah and Taylor, and then a grandfather to Bennett. He was an amazing man and would do anything for anyone lucky enough to be a part of his life. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 25th at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services, located at 213 W. Mountain Street, Kernersville, NC 27284. The visitation will begin at 12:00 PM, followed by the memorial service at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the ASPCA, as that was Eddie’s favorite organization.
