Obituary of John Maynard Logan Sr.

John Maynard Logan Sr., 78, of Greensboro went to be with his Lord on December 8, 2023 at his home in Greensboro.  A native of Guilford, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Edgar and Medrieth (Coble) Logan and husband of Carolyn Logan for 19 loving years. John was an employee of Environmental Air Systems of Greensboro for 48 years as a welder and a supervisor. He was a loving husband, devoted father, beloved grandfather, and the #1 brother.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by his sons, John M. Logan Jr. of Greensboro, NC and Edward Mays of Memphis, TN; grandson, Wyatt Mays of Memphis, TN; sisters, Patricia (Patti) Logan Straughan of Greensboro, NC, Brenda Logan Ball of Greensboro, NC, and Jan Whittemore and husband Doug of Pleasant Garden, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister Nan Hancock.

The family will receive friends at Pierce-Jefferson Lambeth Chapel on Friday, December 15th from 11:00AM-1:00PM.  Funeral services will follow at the Pierce-Jefferson Lambeth Chapel at 1:00PM with Pastor Brady Honeycutt officiating.  Interment will be at Lakeview Memorial Park in Greensboro.
