Obituary of Loretta Lee Watson Peeples

We are saddened to announce the passing of Loretta Lee Watson Peeples on December 15, 2023.

Loretta was born June 28, 1938 to the late Earl and Endie Watson. She married the love of her life, John in 1954 and they shared 61 years together before he passed in 2014. They adored their children, Jill Peeples  Roper (Harley), and Chris Peeples who preceded Loretta in death.

Surviving are her beautiful granddaughters who became protective care takers for Loretta, Danielle Herrin, and Amanda (James) Mason. Loretta was a proud great grandmother to Dylan and Allyannah Herrin, and Brinleigh and Braylen Mason. She is also survived by many beloved family members.

Loretta was a graduate of Kernersville High School. She was a long time employee of Western Electric. Her church meant a great deal to her and she was a member of Kernersville Seventh Day Adventist for many years.

Loretta will be remembered for her sense of style and fashion. Always witty and a dedicated friend.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 12:00PM Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Kernersville Chapel. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will greet friends from 11:00AM to 12:00PM Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
