Obituary of George Herbert Taylor

 George Herbert Taylor, 79, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, passed away December 20, 2023. He was born on October 14, 1944, in Cincinnati, Ohio. George was a beloved husband, devoted father, and a loving brother. George was preceded in death by his treasured wife, Gloria, and sisters, Joanne and Mildred. 
 

He is survived by his sons, George and wife Teresa, Andrew and wife Julie, Stacy and wife Erica; grandchildren, Connery, Jessica, Sumner, Jacob, Kaitlyn, and Ryan; brother, William and sister, Catherine. 
 

George served in the Navy for 5 years, proudly dedicating himself to his country. After his service, he returned to Ohio to start his family and become a small business owner. In 1983, He relocated to North Carolina and became a carpenter. George had a passion for researching family ancestry, woodworking and painting. 
 

George Herbert Taylor will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. May he dance once again with his wife and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

The family will receive friends from 5pm-7pm Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Service, 213 W. Mountain Street, Kernersville, NC 27284.
