Obituary of Michael Douglas Stalvey

Michael Douglas Stalvey, 82, of Walkertown passed away on December 21, 2023, at Silas Creek Manor Winston-Salem.  A native of Randolph County, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Louis and Ruth (Angle) Stalvey and husband of the late Susan Walker Stalvey.

 In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 2 brothers.  

He was a handyman and loved working whatever challenge he was called to do. Elvis Pressley was his favorite entertainer, and he would often request to listen to his music. He also loved spending time with his family and his dogs.  Michael was a very vocal and opinionated person. He worked as a maintenance supervisor at an apartment complex and that is when he was forced to learn to swim in his 50's.

Michael is survived by 5 children, 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, 2 sisters and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. 

The family will receive friends at Pierce- Jefferson Funeral Service, Kernersville Chapel on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, from 5pm -7pm.  Funeral services will be at Pierce - Jefferson Funeral Service, Kernersville Chapel on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at 11:00 am with Pastor Terry Larsen, officiating.  Entombment will be at Gardens of Memory Walkertown.
