Obituary of Wiliam Henry Childress

Mr. Wiliam "Bill" Henry Childress, 75, of Kernersville passed away on January 8, 2024 . Born in Oceanside, California, he was the son of the late Dewey and Doris (Shepherd) Childress and husband of the late Sandra (Stowe) Childress.

Bill was a proud veteran of the United States Army and was the recipient of the Purple Heart for his services to the country.

Bill is survived by his loving daughter, Tammy Emerson and her fiance, JD Stallings; his sister, Sandy Childress; and his furry friend, Lucy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Stowe Childress, and his later wife, Judy (Holcomb) Childress.

Interment will be privately held at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Winston-Salem.
