Obituary of Margaret Ellen "Marti" Stafford

Margaret Ellen "Marti" Stafford, 76, of Thomasville, NC passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, February 27, 2024.

A native of Kernersville, NC, Marti was born on Tuesday, May 27, 1947, to Clinton Eugene Stafford and Ora Knight Stafford, both deceased. Marti was a life-long member of Bunker Hill United Methodist Church. She loved her church and had a strong faith in God. Marti's father passed in 1959 but she shared so many memories of him and always remained "Daddy's girl". She was a devoted, loving, selfless, doting daughter to her mother. Marti and her sister-in-law, Lana, were friends almost all their lives. They called each other "Sis" and were so close. Marti was a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to Lana's children. Angela Bradshaw and her children, Brooke Cundiff and Peyton Bradshaw were everything to her. Now little Evie has come and is so precious to her. Marti was kind and always thought of others before herself. It's a joyous moment for her to be reunited with her parents and her "Sis". She is getting that big hug she's been waiting for so long. She was all about making memories and spending time with us. She was a wonderful, kind, loyal friend.

Marti was a firecracker! She held strong to her values. She believed in loyalty, honesty, and always doing the right thing. She taught that love has no boundaries, doesn’t discriminate, and comes from Jesus. She gave love that was incomparable and undeserved. Marti was kind and always thought of others before herself. Marti was all about making memories and spending time with us. She was a wonderful, kind, loyal friend. We will miss her, but there is joy in Heaven and she and Lana will be watching over us.

Survivors include her brother, Billy Eugene Stafford; cousins, Randy Callaway, and Morris Callaway; and her best friend of 43 years, Linda Edenfield.

A graveside memorial service celebrating Marti's life will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Bunker Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery 1510 Bunker Hill Sandy Ridge Road, Kernersville, NC 27284.
