Julie,
I was shocked and saddened to here that Fred passed away at such a young age. I have such fond memories of my time in Michigan with you and Fred; vacations together, your swimming pool, kite flights, watching our kids grow up together. And then South Carolina & Tennessee when we both moved but were able to visit each other in our new worlds. I am hopeful that my memories will help me through this time as I hope yours will help you. Please know that you , Michael and Andrew are in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless you all.

Debbie,
I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Fred's passing, our family's thoughts and prayers are with you at this trying time. I will always remember the good times up in Greenville when many of us had a chance to work (and play) with our good friend, Fred 'the fast one' Perkins!

we were hockey friends; both coached our children in the Greenville Youth Hockey Association, SC, Presided at different times over the Association,
played on the same adult team and traveled to some hockey events together ( I remember the tears in his eyes when he
chocked up talking to His Boys when coaching his Midget teams);
we were also neighbors: living on the same street in Pelham Falls sub-division in SC. (I can still see Fred working in his front yard in 100% weather and remember on night it was pouring cats and dog and I was walking home from his house when he drives by and says: "want a
lift home?" I had an umbrella, he didn't have to leave the comfort of his home; but that's Fred!)
Mike and our daughter, Genevieve, were very good friends and still are today.
We also had a joint garage sale of which Diane and I still reminisce about the party the four of us had after; great memories.
we were also squash partners: I introduced Fred to the sport and whipped him the first time we played...and that was the last time. After that, he beat me soundly and I rarely beat him again. He was an excellent athlete,
we did play golf a few times and he was always gracious enough to give me some basic lessons and some equipment, ball and shoes, that I use and wear to this
date.
we followed his lead regarding our son, Tristan. Fred and Julie sent Mike and Andrew to Bowling Green Hockey School, and Tristan went along under their
wings. They also sent Mike to Prep-School in the Northeast and we followed suit with Tristan.
Even though we had somewhat drifted apart, we still consider Fred and Julie, Mike and Andrew very good friends and wish Fred a peaceful journey.
Thanks for allowing us to say these few words, Georges

Debbie,
I was so sorry and shocked to hear of Fred's passing. I just talked to him a couple of weeks ago and he was very excited about the move and your upcoming wedding. I am so sorry that Vickie and I were unable to share some time with both of you. Know that we are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers through this difficult time. Fred was such a wonderful friend to me and I will miss him dearly.
Michael and Andrew,
I can't imagine how difficult it is to lose such a wonderful father. I know you have a lot of great memories with him as I do. I hope those will get you through this difficult time. Please call me if you need anything as I know your Dad would have done the same for Ty or Melanie. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Fred was a fantastic guy and great friend. I haven't seen him very much in the last few years, but he was always so warm and caring whenever we did talk. My best memories of Fred were when we were hunting at the Ponderosa and so many golfing events where Fred was always the "big hitter" on our team. I am so sorry for his loss and I pray for all his family members.
