Obituary of Edward G. Lunsford

Mr. Edward G. Lunsford, 76, of Gibsonville died Saturday, February 14, 2015. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday, at First Baptist Church in Gibsonville, with the Reverend Jim Upchurch officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park Mausoleum. Mr. Lunsford was born in Wilkes County, July 2, 1938, to Edward and Lula Roberts Lunsford. He was the owner and operator of Lunsford Guard & Patrol, a member of First Baptist Church in Little River, South Carolina, and attended First Baptist Church in Gibsonville while living in town. Mr. Lunsford was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lynette Langley, sisters, Emily Parker and Linda Norris; brother, Guy Lunsford. He is survived by his wife, Jan Lunsford; daughter, Robin Langley; grandson, Landon Langley; 4 sisters, Myrtle Kirkman, Annie Marie Rich, (Jerry), Lilly Carty (Herman), and Barbara Rush (Ruben), 6 brothers, Greel Lunsford (Lela), Raeford Lunsford, Sonny Lunsford (Mini), Raymond Lunsford, Clarence Lunsford (Annette). The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 pm Sunday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home.
