Obituary of L. Keith Hudson

Kernersville-L. Keith Hudson, 89, passed away October 1, 2011 following several months of declining health. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 11:00AM Tuesday October 4, 2011 at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel. A native of Wilsey, Kansas, he was the son of the late Nellie Henshaw and Leroy Hudson. He was a graduate of Kansas State University, where he received a BS Degree in Chemical Engineering. He served with the US Army Ordnance Corp. He worked his entire professional career with Aluminum Company of America, where he retired as Director of Chemical Research. He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church, where he served as a teacher of several Bible courses. In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by his brother Glen Vincent Hudson. Survivors include his loving wife Virginia Forren Hudson of the home; sons Eric Hudson and Elaine of Wisconsin, Michael Hudson and Pam of North Carolina, and Kevin Hudson of Florida; step-son Jimm Barbery and Teresa of Kernersville; grandsons Matthew Hudson and Bill Hudson; sisters Merna Hunter of Colorado, and Marjorie Hailey of Kansas. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at the funeral home on Tuesday.
