Obituary of Paula Marie McHenry

Kernersville-Paula Marie McHenry, 51, passed away following a gallant fight with a double lung transplant. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 2:00PM Sunday May 31, 2015 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel. Interment will be in the Mt. Gur Cemetery. A native of Madison, Wisconsin, Paula was the daughter of the late Jean Adams McNeel and Doug McNeel who survives. She graduated from Battle Creek Central High School and later Otterbein School of Nursing. She had worked as a NICU Nurse at Women’s Hospital in Greensboro, NC for 23 years. In addition to her mother, she also was preceded in death by her daughter Brooke McHenry. Survivors include her daughters Danielle Draper and Josh of Greensboro, and Abbie McHenry of Kernersville; grandson Blake McHenry of Kernersville; father Doug McNeel of Georgia; sister Krista Kiehl and Michael of Ohio; and brother Todd McNeel and Mel of Texas. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
