Obituary of Joan Konkel

Joan Elizabeth Finn Konkel, 71, died May 14, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2:00PM Tuesday May 19, 2015 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kernersville with Father Paul Dechant, O.S.F.S. officiating. Joan was born December 3, 1943 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Rose Marie Waters and John Joseph Finn. She was an active member of “Weavers of Comfort “knitting club of Holy Cross. She adored and loved her family who she cared for deeply. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Rosemary Troy. Survivors include her husband Leo John Konkel of Kernersville; children Susan Howard and Carl of New Jersey, Loretta Slozer and Matthew of Kernersville, Leo J. Konkel, Jr. and Barbara of New Jersey; twelve grandchildren; brother John Finn and Marlene of New Jersey and numerous nieces and nephews.
