Obituary of Elaine Reese Aldrich

Elaine Aldrich, 78, went home to be with the Lord June 10, 2018.

A Celebration of her life will be held 2:00PM Friday June 15, 2018 at Kernersville First Christian Church with Pastor Dr. Peter Kunkle officiating. The family will visit with friends from 1:00PM until time for the service on Friday at the church.

A native of Sherburne, New York, Elaine was the daughter of the late Bernice Irene Wilbur and Kenneth Foster Reese. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her brother Stephen Reese. 

Elaine graduated from Sherburne High School, and later would marry the love of her life June 18, 1960. A “Coach’s wife” she spent a lot of her time in gymnasiums as she supported her husband in his career. She was a member of First Christian Church where she served in several capacities, including a greeter. She loved people and her gift of communication served her well in everything she did as she would write notes to all who knew and loved her. 

Survivors include her loving husband of almost 58 years, Wes Aldrich of the home; sons Jim Aldrich and Sara of Alabama, and Pete Aldrich and Dalila of Texas; grandson James Aldrich and Patty of New York; great-grandchildren Alexis, Paige, Karley, Jimmy, and Jocelyn; sister Marlene Dickenson and David of Thomasville; brothers Ken Reese of Florida, and Tom Reese and Linda of Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
